Why Does My Face Flush After Eating

Fluorite: A century of mining in Asturias

With luck this Saturday have time, I went to the store Oviedo José Ramón García to acquire this magnificent work on the Fluorite mining on my land.

Taking this opportunity, I took him to see his great collection, highlighting parts of Asturias, especially Fluorite from the various fields of Asturias, but without neglecting the other parts, a superb collection from my point of view, which reveals a great effort to gather all the cole
ction worthy of a museum. I was speechless.

is a monograph on the mineral species that exceeds five hundred pages, profusely illustrated in full color. It is built on an extensive and comprehensive literature search (Historical Archive of Asturias, Oviedo Mine Head, School of Mining Engineering of Oviedo and Madrid, private files, etc.) Accompanied by an extensive field campaign, as well as references provided by active players and their descendants, mining companies, workers and technicians who made possible these farms.

In the book emphasizes the purely aesthetic, the intrinsic beauty of the selected specimens, the aim of reaching the vast majority of the mineral species that accompany each of fluorite deposits.

The photographic section is represented most renowned professionals nationally and internationally (Jeff Scovill, LD Bayle, F. Pina, JM Sanchez, Joaquim Callan, Joan Rosell, etc.). For its preparation has benefited from a broad representation of individuals scattered in various collections, both domestic and elsewhere.

aim is also to not be forgotten the details of the mining work, which was an important stage in the economic development of Asturias and, above all, do not miss his legacy so that future generations know and appreciate the effort and determination of their real actors.
